So, as promised...I was texted this morning asking me if I was ready for coffee? Hells yes! I gathered myself and headed out to coffee. My "new friend" and I met and stepped up to the counter together.... I noticed a few looks from the girls behind the counter...not expecting to see me and my "new friend" together. They were putting two and two together...I know it.
Anyway, we sat and talked for a while when I started thinking "Hmmm, I need to start stepping this up and finding out if he's pie-worthy", and so I asked one of the important basic questions..."Do you know who Anthony Bourdain is?" Son of a ....he totally knew who he is! He then went on to name off a couple more Food Network shows...ack! Seriously, where has this kid been all this time? Then he says "I told you that I knew my way around the kitchen." Well, yeah he did, but I hear a lot of bullshit from guys to impress me, is what I'm thinking. I mean, come on...we all know how that is. And sooo I'm skeptical of many things.
Anyway, I'm high fiving myself for finding a foodie guy...so much so, that I came home and made myself a grilled cheese and artichoke sammich!

They should have known better
We immediately take over one table....what two seats not enough? Pull up some chairs. My parents were there with all the people that they loved the most...it was awesome as I looked around the table....just Darlene (who's in the wedding, Paul and Ben missing).

While we were waiting...it became very apparent that we were going to be the "Life" of the party. Of course, I can't have a boa sitting in front of me without using it for entertainment....and passing it around. I text E to tell her what was going on...she asks "Does Tbag have a boa?"....Yep.
That when I began to stop with the boas... my father gave me "The look"....
he wasn't happy with my antics....They should have known better though!

Care, Emmie, Krump and I danced the whole time...It's GD awesome to be us.
I was left to do the driving home...which was kind of scary, since I wasn't sure where the hell I even was! It's a good think my big brother was there to help me!
Good Job Kathy and Ric! Go team!
And that's why we liked this wedding!
2:47pm December 26, 08 A small crowd of people began to step into the small church that housed, maybe 20 pews.
2:55pm A limo drove up and the church doors were closed.
3:00pm on the DOT! The doors opened and there was Kathy...the most beautiful December bride I have EVER seen! I was the first person she looked at because I was in the second pew from the back. A rush of memories came over me from when she was married the first time....I was 8 years old.
3:04pm Ric and Kathy were announced Husband and Wife!
3:06pm They were out the door!
3:06pm We all agreed that this was the Best Wedding Ever!
Kathy (My sister's bestfriend), Darlene (my sister) and me!
Before I left the church, Kathy said to me "Do you remember what happened when I was married the first time?" Yep, I sure did. I was sitting at the back of the church, by myself for some reason....my parents weren't there. Darlene walked up to the alter, then Kathy and her dad. It was perfect, except when I ran up to them crying, telling her not to go away...that she was my sister and that "He" couldn't have her....Kathy had to take me outside, talk to me and hen sit me down...sniffle, sniffle....then she went through with it anyway....guess we all know how that turned out.
We heart Kathy and Ric!

My Friend has a Guru
Some of you may know my friend who is a yoga instructor and energy therapist. This was from her blog written by her Guru:
A Diamond is for Venus, for marriage, love and faith...for all the best things a relationship can give. The right had is the *true* hand which causes things to grow. Thats why we shake hands with the Right hand and so on. The left hand is said to bring the energies of individual selfishness and this is the last thing we want in marriage. Love is all about sharing. Love and sharing comes down when we wear the diamond on the right hand.
I wear my diamond ring on my right hand (now) and I will think of it as if I am causing myself to grow...and welcome new things.
The reason that I share this with you is because of the beautful wedding that I attended yesterday. It was a reminder that we should be open to love and welcome our feelings of loving one another. That's what we are really her for right? To love each other.

Snowed in....Christmas Eve's Eve
Tuesday night was pretty damn eventful! Once I was released from work, I was driving home and watched a sweet, pretty new Landrover get rear-ended by an Explorer...it became a chain reaction accident....shweee...narrowly missed it! I rule when it comes to driving, I thought as I continued drving and watched it in my rearview mirror.
Then it was time to hurry and get ready for Tbags b-day at Cleary's....picked him up one of the Klassiest gifts I could think of....Pabst Blue Ribbon...a 12 pack! He loved it. Good job Auntie Cakes! While I was there I saw several people that I hadn't seen in years. Mostly ones who were in from out of town for the holidays. Some of the guys actually cleaned up pretty well...a shocker. But, then it got to be too much and I had to go, since I had made plans with my new friend.
While I was in Cleary's it had snowed a boat load. I stopped at the local liquor store to get vodka and Red Bull...it was sweet because the Mirrored Disco Ball looking bottle was at a discounted price! Yippy....Of course, that's the one I bought. But, only because the guy behind the counter asked me to come see him again sometime and he called me "Beautiful", my ego was pretty big, until I was walking out and heard him call the old lady behind me "Sweetheart", haha.
Oh well, on my way I went, to a new place...I have my direction scrawled out on bar napkins....I'm always worried of getting lost, especially when it's snowing so badly....but, I found it...and once I arrived, I think I said "Screw it, I'm drinking"....which, I did. Ended up sleeping for a few hours on a couch (not recommended for long term comfort). It was like I was in college again...heavy sigh.
Next morning....I went to work. Who makes their employee work on Christmas Eve...with a hangover, none-the-less? Apparently, JP. It's all good though.
Happy Christmas Eve's Eve!

T's Birthday Love Connection

So, I’m at work on Monday…thinking to myself “Whereever I go, there I am”….huh.
Anyway, I get this super sweet picture from E in her new Moosie shirt that I sent her for Festivus.
Since, Moosie is Tbaggers favorite…I forwarded him her picture. I know he likes pretty girls. He promptly text me back asking for her phone number.
And so the story begins, the next morning before I know it....he’s sending pictures of himself…and arranging a wedding for the spring! Son if a….
Since I’m super experienced at planning weddings I told them that I would help out (I'm helpful like that!)
Here’s how the Love Connection started:
From TLyons (aka Tbags):
Good morning sweet heart,
Here is a few pictures from my fishing trip a few weeks ago, it was 4 degrees and snowing that day. I also attached a picture of the rock I got you for Christmas. Tell your folks I say hi and sorry I couldn't make it out west this year to see you. Linda said when you come to town just let me know and I can pick you up from the airport, 517-861-xxxx. I will take you out for a moon lit tractor ride when you come to town.
Have a good day,
T.

From E:
E’s Blog – The Best Day Ever
LindaCakes bought me a Moosejaw t-shirt. It rules. So yesterday at the coffee shop I got Tall White Timmy to take my picture with my new shirt on so I could send it to Cakes to show her that it is being put to good use.
LindaCakes forwarded my picture to her friend T-Lyons, who said I was awesome and told Linda to give me his number. So I responded to Cakes "Who is this guy?" Her response: "Terry is the guy who is my faux boyfriend/nephew. He does work around my house for cookies. Turns 25 tuesday and likes older women."
Awesome.
Anyway, I told Linda to send me a picture so I can describe my new boyfriend to my family at Christmas.
So then T himself got on the blower and sent me some pictures with this message:

[Please note what he is cooking in this picture:] It's a whole hamburger...bun and all!
So it looks like I won't be single for the holidays!!
E then REPLIES:
Game on.
I can see you have cooking skills (the look on C's face is PRICELESS, she is not as impressed as I am), and can clearing provide and build shelter.
I love my new rock!! I'll put a note on the door for UPS in case they deliver it when I am away from home.
I'll call you from the airport.

T’s Answer:
Giddy up,
What can I say other than I a pretty good package. Ask Linda, skill include. (Linda can add to this if she feels the need to)
Lifting and moving heavy objects
walking wieners
installing disco balls
installing kitchen faucets
demo, probably my favorite
fly fishing lessons, classes start in the spring
shoveling snow
eating cookies
tractor driving
I will put the rock in a UPS box today and overnight it to your house. It will make a great lawn ornament.
Giddy up,
E’s Reply:
T,
I'm wondering if you have put any thought into the guest list for our wedding? Since you already got me a rock and all, it seems like we better get on this.
I personally think we should spend most of our money on the band and the alcohol. If we get them drunk enough, nobody's gonna remember we fed them KFC.
That's just my opinion.
e
T’s Reply:
E,
You have a valid concerns regarding us getting hitched. I think I could cook the food, as long as hamburgers and hotdogs are ok. Linda can make some potato salad and apple pie. I am all about spending the money on booze though, unless we do a BYOB wedding, then we could have macaroni salad too.
I do have some bad new though, and I hope it doesn't effect your wanted to get married. UPS said they can not ship the rock to California, because of the shear size and monstrosity of the rock it wont fit in the truck. But I do have a tractor, I would have to deliver your rock to you in person. I would have to leave now and probably get there around next spring. So if you don't mind waiting that long I could swing that.
About the fly fishing, I can definitely help you out with that I will send out the sign up form when I finish it.
There's my 2 cents, T

Next spring, huh? So you're saying it's going to be a long engagement?
E
T’s Reply:
Sorry, I am kind of old fashion like that. I mean don't you want to tell all of your friends that your husband to be is coming from Michigan on a John Deere pulling your engagement rock. That would make a lot of girls around here jealous.
And that's that. I'll be looking for a bridesmaid dress this weekend.
Oh, look....It's time for me to go home...another day of work done!

The Volvo is NOT Possessed!
It was 4 degrees when I ventured out this morning...coffee, and then to work. The roads to work were painfully icy and I had to go unusually slow since I'm terrified of landing in a snow bank...hence, the picture from a couple Mondays ago.
I heart my Winter Volvo...it came from Winter Volvo car dealer....how appropriate.
So, I crept down the road, watching the truck in front of my fishtail a few times. Then I go to turn and I realize my blinker doesn't work! What? Dammit. I try the right, I try the left...no go. Luckily I have my mechanic on speed dial....and when I call, he always knows it's me...I love that. Anyway, he asks me "Does your hazards work?" Ahhh, nope. We arrange that I'll be coming in today to see what's the problem is. Great. Just what I need, I never get out of that place under $400...it's like a rule or something. I'm positive that this car is somehow possessed by the previous owner.
I get to work and settle in. My desk faces a window and I can see my car from there. I'm working away, checking emails, when something outside catches my eye. At that same time my boss calls down and asks "Ahhh, do you know that your car's hazard lights are on?" Well, no....I didn't really know that. But, yeh....they do work. So, I run out and try the blinkers and they work as well.
Ahhh...all is right in the World. If I DO end up in the snow bank on my way home...I will be able to use my hazards. Yippeee.

I heart Mondays, Moosejaw, REI and my UPS guy!

So, today has been stressing me out since last week...but, lets not discuss that. I had to be at work around 6am, so of course I didn't get much sleep because I was too afraid of oversleeping. And since some twerp with a house or business alarm in the downtown area had it ringing from midnight on...I kept hearing the ring and waking up anyway. I decided to get up around 4:45am to do some yoga. As I stood there in my pose I glanced at the couch where I couldn't see my dogs, but I could hear them...under the blanket sawing logs....wieners! After I did so well at my AM yoga, I hurried and rushed out the door...nice, 47 degrees! Yippy. I stopped at the Evil-Evil DD....Duncan Donuts...where I found a dozen of the most perfectly fried pieces of lardy fat to take to work with me. Yum. After the meeting, everyone left me...when all of a sudden my favorite UPSy guy drove up and honked at me...Yippy! My Moosejaw order finally! Since Santa doesn't come to my families house anymore, I decided that I had to take matters into my own hands....hmmmm...I need a snowblower since I don't have a boyfriend anymore...but, that was a little more than I wanted to spend. So, I vowed that I would shovel my own driveway and walks....STOP LAUGHING! But, I need to be warm! Fortunately, I found soft and warm capalien and a Moosie shirt for from Moosejaw...and from REI....I got a sweet discount on some Sorels (I'm still heartbroken over losing my other pair of Sorels....oh, and my ice climbing equipment)! But, I will get over it someday! That's beside the point. In came my UPS guy. Who dropped the box in front of me and watched me open the box and put my boots on! Without hesitation... COME TO MOMMA! Yep, they fit!! Double cool! I love them so much I think I'm going to wear them to bed tonight!!! I heart Mondays, Moosejaw, REI and my UPS guy!
Back Track One Week
Last Sunday (12/14/08) morning I was trying to be strong...I purposely didn't go buy a coffee maker because my grandmother told me that I need to keep socializing and flirting every chance I get...ok...well, I'll go out and get coffee...but, as for the flirting...I'm not so good with that anymore. My boss sent me home with work and so I took that with me to the coffee. I had just got off the phone with my ex, teary eyed and all, since he was leaving for an indefinite time for Florida...I was glad that he was leaving. It was the seperation that we badly needed. It took me a couple minutes to compose myself and start to work again. Dammit. I forgot my ipod! And double damn, it's cold where I was sitting. So, I spy that the next seat that's open is a comfy chair next to the fire...and across from this guy that just sat down. What the hell...I'm cold. So, I make the move...I talk to the guy a little, find out enough...single, dad, state police, lives nearby, works out, has a cute smile and beautiful eyes. But, I really didn't think much of all that until after he left.
The next morning at coffee he ran through my mind, hmmm....wonder when he gets coffee?
Then I forgot about it for the day.
On the way home that night I was thinking about how I'm just not into the whole Match.com thing....and why should I be wasting my money. That's my gym membership! Okay, it's settled. I am canceling it.....and then I got the email that follows:
Email recieved on Monday Dec. 15, 08
So, I'm sitting at the coffee shop on Sunday and this very interesting and cute lady comes and sits across from me and strikes up a conversation...Like the airhead that I am, I get up and leave and dont get any of her information...Im thinking I am gonna have to go and buy a heck of a lot of coffee to try and run into her again...Okay fast forward to now, so I am sitting here at home and decide to check my account here and start perusing through some profiles and low and behold I come across yours...hmm coincidence?Anyway, if you would like to chat again..I am open!!!
Holy crud, I just sat there speechless! Are you kidding me? He is also on Match and found me!
My email back to him:
So, I was driving home tonight thinking that I was going to have to end my stint with Match and attempt to maybe meet some new people a different way. Of course, that thought was only after I stopped in for a quick coffee on my way to work this morning...and after thinking to myself that I wished I would have been smart enough to ask the interesting and cute guy from Sunday when he stops to get coffee...so, that I could try to see him again. Then, fast forward to now, I decide to check my email tonight and surprise...the guy that I had thought I'd probably never see again, shows up! Someone just reminded me yesterday that everything happens for a reason. Interesting.... Okay, so let me save you from over-consuming coffee...here's my email and phone number.
And that's the story...we met for coffee one morning and then that night for a couple beers. Then he came over for a late dinner last night...

Sunny Snowy Saturday
Up early to do yoga and some extreme baking...neither one turned out so well. The cookie dough that I create from scratch turned out to be not so good. Most of them broke coming out of the oven. Dammit. So, I'll package them up and give them to Tbagger.
I was blinded by the sun shining on the snow....albedo is what I think that's called (when the sun reflects on the snow)...not to be confused with Libido! I feel like I'm Chevy Chase from National Lampoons Christmas...I spent another hour fixing my lights on the front tree...only to wake up Sunday morning to find them out again...Dammit again!
My new little friend that I met for coffee last Sunday is coming over for dinner...so, I pack up the slowcooker with a pork roast and let it go for it. Three Buck Chuck, a packet of onion soup, and some veggies made for an pretty good pork roast. I think it was a mild success.
More successful was the conversation that we had after dinner...the wieners took pretty fast to him, Fritzie never lets me down. He was humping Kraut, showing his Alpha male tendencies at record speed. My friend turned into a pumpkin at 11, so he took off and after that I couldn't sleep, so now I'm draggin ass tired, when I should be doing something productive....wait...I am. I am doing something productive....I'm writing you! Happy Sunday Morning.

Holy Doxember
It's December ALREADY! The last two months have been like a bumpy rollercoaster...that I just can't seem to get off! ugh.
The ups and downs of a freshly broken heart has showed me who is my true friend and who just isn't quiet up to par. It only confirmed that I have some friends that loved me...even if "he" didn't. :)
So, E has given me some competition...motivation...inspiration to start blogging again. When we really should be writing the books that we soooo should write...instead, we write blogs.
The newest thing in our home is that I've been doing some extreme cardio yoga...and some subtle AM yoga...that's not new...what's new is that Kraut practices with me. I lay on my back and then I look over at him. He usually is flat on his back when he quickly whips his heads to look at me. With a sweet little Kraut look. We love flat dog pose.
